70 Juniper Road – DurbanKZN – Rebuilding A Home
The original house was 110 years old, built of wood and iron from the Union Period. Following a tragic fire, the house was rebuilt with the same alternative spirit in mind – and to be passive / light / cool / open . Lightweight reinforced panels and beams form the structural core that is plastered and insulated. The building has very slender walls, creates large volumes and goes up fast. This house was a dream project for Craig and his partner, creative designer Dru Raymond of UpInSmoke.
